Introduction to Commissions
Thank you for taking an interest in a commission!
Below I have put some useful information about how I work & what you can expect from the process.
Please take a look and if you would like to proceed further, fill out the form at the end.
You can also use the form for any questions you may have, or shoot me a message on Instagram here.
the Materials
I work using oil paint on wooden board panels. To keep things convenient; I am offering my pieces in ready-to-hang floating frame panels. This saves you the trouble of framing and I think they look fantastic.
One thing to note about oil paint is that it takes a long time to dry, usually at least a month.
I can only apply a protective varnish once the piece is fully dry, so please take this time into account with your delivery expectations. I would allow at least 2 to 3 months from commission to delivery pending everything goes smoothly.
You don’t have to wait that long to see the piece though! I will share photos as soon as it is painted, in person viewings can also be arranged.
Jolie. 2024. 24x24 inches. Oil on Board.
Size & Pricing
I am offering portraits at the sizes & guide prices listed below. Not including delivery. A 50% non-refundable deposit is requested before I start, and the rest upon completion. Payment via e-transfer preferred.
These are guide prices for one pet on a relatively simple background. (FYI I’m currently running a discount!) Final price will be confirmed once reference photos have been chosen.

8x8 inches - $300 $550
10x10 inches - $500 $750

Revisions or adjustments are generally not offered. All of my paintings are completed in a single sitting (Alla Prima). This limits my ability to revise, but this is how all of my past paintings are done.
Delivery
Ideally, pieces are collected or dropped off in person in the Montreal area. If this is not possible, delivery can be arranged for an additional fee, costed before work starts. Currently I am only accepting clients in Canada.
what I need from you for a great painting!
A good photo reference is a big help. It makes the painting so much easier (and fun!).
We can back and forth on the right photo before I move ahead with any work. Ultimately, this is all subjective, so don’t think you HAVE to adhere to any rigid set rules.
